I love the word

When I say I love the word, I get all kinds of responses, some spoken out loud and some silent.

I have been following this Jesus for 17 years now. I didn’t take anyone’s permission to start following Him and I will not be requiring anyone’s permission to continue following Him.

He has been good to me more than I deserve. If I want to deserve it, what a stupid decision that would be.

What I think is good for me, God wants to give me so much more.

So today I am sharing the word and the ministers and the link to the devotional is below the devotional in case you want to read it daily.

…secured our permanent deliverance. (Hebrews 9:12 | Goodspeed)

“Everything Jesus did was for you, and it was set to the credit of your account.” – Mark Hankins

Let’s look at several hath scriptures that the Apostle Paul wrote in his letters.

  • Christ hath redeemed you from the curse of the law. (Galatians 3:13)
  • God hath qualified you for your inheritance. (Colossians 1:12)
  • He hath delivered you from the power of darkness and ‘hath’ translated you into the kingdom of His dear Son. (Colossians 1:13)
  • He hath blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

These hath scriptures show that Jesus hath — past tense — paid the price, and the prisoner must be released.

Man, without Jesus, is literally held captive by sin, Satan, sickness, fear, poverty, guilt, and many other things.  The definition of redemption is “deliverance through the payment of a price.” Jesus paid the price for your freedom. Jesus said that you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:32,36)

Confession: I have been delivered through the blood of Jesus. I am no longer held captive by sin, Satan, sickness, fear, poverty, or guilt. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed!

Hopefully, we should ponder on the meaning of this quote in the next blog and test if God really means what He says or is kidding:

Hebrews 9:12 New International Version (NIV)

12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining[a] eternal redemption.

I don’t think God ever kids about anything. He always means what He says and says what He means.

A classy rant!

I used to have a talent for name calling.

Not the trashy ones. The honest and true ones. I knew how to speak to you, cut you to your heart with hurtful words.

What made it worse was the harmless guile in my eyes as I told you your weaknesses, in a moderate toned voice. Everyone else would be shouting insults but I all I needed was to add an ingredient, a true ingredient about your weakness and that would be it.

It was the scorpion part of me.

I hated to spend hours saying many pointless words when one true words would send everything you have been saying for 30 minutes, spiral like a pack of cards. I don’t talk much when I did, it would come with a bite that turned into a mouthful and made an enemy for me.

Once I gave a girl in my class, who may have been diabolic a piece of my mind. She tried to hit me, I ducked and she hit my sister and injured her forehead. It turned into a free for all fight and soon all the girls in school were fighting with me and my sister. It was a free for all fight that brought out the frenemies et al. Maybe six people were fighting for us against 150 other girls.

No doubt, it was the demonic that inspired that fight but I was too young to recognise it as yet.

When the matron came, she took my sister and I, and hid us in her house because she could not understand what brought out the beast in almost 150 girls.

Later when I was explaining to a friend what happened, she told me to learn to be more tactful.

Poverty has a face. It is always wicked. Never kind. Never like poverty or anything that looks like it, hate poverty with a passion.

The girl wanted to share my food. My sister and I just received food from home, even though we were in the boarding house and the girl insisted that she must eat the food and I said no, and then added other choice remarks. It resulted in a fight that doesn’t make sense till today.

We are grown now. Did I add her on Facebook? No. I can’t trust that she won’t fight with me today over a bag or a shoe.

What brought up this memory lane blogging?

This post that someone commented on, on Facebook.

The comment sounded so much like something I would say and so I decided to share my story and the comment.

For me, name calling ended in primary school, and being a smart alec got me into trouble in secondary school. As an adult, you will hardly find me exchanging words with anyone because “I don’t play with pigs”. I still need to learn a lot more tact but my policy is, if you don’t play with pigs, an opportunity to exchange words with anyone will hardly arise. I am most likely to walk away when someone sends me nasty words because it is not every, you are a fool, you are an idiot, that you should answer. Like I said, that passed away with primary school. I refuse to act like a child when I am an adult.

As adults, we know our conversations should be different from when we were children. But some things never change.

Bodies grow.

spirits remain the same. Habits remain the same. weaknesses remain the same.

If all that changed was the size of the physical body, then we are still that little girl or little boy that used to do mean things. We just get to act like adults and put on our masks while we do them.

The life of Christ is not like this though. He comes to us and lives in us and as we daily read the word, he draws the poison out of us through whatever means possible. He draws out the poison by eternal life that is at work in us and fills us with His Spirit and the desire to follow His leading as we meditate on the word daily.

Eternal life in us is a river, it washes and forces out impurities from all the parts of us and by His Spirit in us, causes us to grow up into the picture He has of us. The picture in the mirror of His word.

Yesterday, I needed one hundred naira more, in fact I needed money on all sides. So I get to my last bus stop and I am thinking, what do I do?

God made an unaware stranger pay my transport fare. I was just there thinking, is this guy in his right senses?

It just brought the picture of the word: the heart of the King is in the hand of the LORD and like a river, he turns it in whatsoever way He wills.

“Good Christians” in quote will not have dared to give me money because of the rumours and our fetish beliefs, unfortunately we have (some of us) more faith in the power of the enemy than in the power of God.

Right now I am on a high, God will literally move heavens and the earth to do what he needs to do for me.

I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ.

I don’t want to be a member of the stalwart or the typical church, I would rather be in the resistance and let the Holy Spirit who is silent in the churches be active in my life everyday.

Proudly a member of the resistance of the end time church, the ones on whom the LORD is pouring out His Spirit in these last days.

I believe.

I don’t just attend church 7 days a week as my duty, I actually do believe in Christ, the head of the church and in the King of kings and he is active in my life everyday.

On being authentic

I like Trump because there is no guile in him.

What he says and what he feels are one and the same. His word is his bond. Not so common nowadays.

There’s nothing like being authentic to get people panting after you, lol!

See how many people retweeted this?

About 155k when I checked

Over ten times his normal 9k.

He’s usually real. But he straight went for the jugular of the Korea prime minister/president, I don’t know which it is now.

The same thing works for the salvation of souls, people can tell when you are depending on Jesus and when you are doing your duty.

E.g I almost had a situation this morning. I called out to God with His word not the usual 15 minute drama I sometimes do to fulfil all righteousness, this was simple talking to God like He was there present in front of me and He came through.

So I want to do the status quo but life is too precious to be status quo. I have to go with what the Spirit of God is saying and it was just as I thought.

Too many status quo. Too few labourers who are actually interested in souls from the heart. Most people just care how they look to the world they should be saving.

Not that caring doesn’t matter. It does.

Sometimes we just have to wear our real faces and not the masks everyone else is putting on.

When we wear our real faces, even though we may hurt a lot and be rejected and other whatnots, when people really need help and are done with the fake laughs and fake talks, guess who they come to, yes, us, those of us who dare to stick out our necks for the gospel.

They know who they can trust.

I don’t want to play church or pretend, love (I intended to write life, but love too) is too precious to be pretending all the time at all.

Let’s go with our real faces and let the Spirit touch the very hearts and depths of men through us because we are not afraid to say what we believe even though we may look foolish to the ordinary eye but to the kingdom, we are precious treasure.

The new wine works best with the new creation.

If you are born again, that new creation is in you. Keep seeking. Keep praying. Keep studying the word.

It is the glory of God to hide a matter, it is the honour of kings to seek it out.

I don’t have permission yet, it seems so foolish to yet go to a place where I am not sure I am safe.

When you know things spiritually in spite of what you are told. It seems crazy but you know what your heart is telling you.

Holy Spirit come, Holy Spirit lead, Holy Spirit guide and protect me and mine.

Just like 2008. I wasn’t terribly alert.

My heart and my head agreed but my spirit said no. I tarried for a year and my spirit said no. That was active leading. I can’t/won’t say no to my spirit because He leads by the inward witness and the peace of God in my heart.

To be able to hear nasty talk and ignore… #goals #peace

Lord take me to that place where all I see is you.

Ephes 4:31 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice” #WalkInLove

This is the kind of focus I need because a lot of big/great things to accomplish hand in hand with God, ahead of me.

Knowing you and what belongs to you

You know, honesty helps a lot

and authenticity too.

So I found this a couple of weeks ago. It is worth reading so we all know it’s not something new. It is something the revivalist of old times knew and tried to pass on.

Sharing is caring.

I’ll let you discover it yourself even though it teaches on our rights in Christ. You can download.

Claiming Our Rights – EW Kenyon

It is a PDF file, I hope you read it and meditate on confess it to your spirit until you see the changes you desire.

This is why you go to church every Sunday. It’s is not tradition. It is so you can learn this stuff and disciple others not only by teaching it but also living it.

I pray God’s Spirit helps you make this word real in your life.

Love wins it all

So I was going through my goals/plans

the new ones…

I came across the time when the only prayer I prayed was 1 Cor 13:1-8 and beyond

I look back today and because of those days I don’t have to pray the scripture anymore

All I need to do is make a decision

Because my heart is in the right place

It knows what to do

That the only choice is love

Because that is what God wants

Not force

But unforced rhythms…

It is still love

Because I am His

He is mine

He has not given me fear

Those are not His gifts

He has given me power (the Holy Ghost in His fullness)

Love (His agape love that conquers all things)

…and a sound mind/discernment

Yes, this demands for boundaries

Love without boundaries, isn’t real love

No more enabling

Set boundaries

Little children shouldn’t be playing with dynamites

OK cross that.

Sealed lips

Because I might give too much away

But love always

Because the believer loves.

Thank God for the ones who still stand even in the midst of chaos

Thank God for the resistance because without them,

the devil wins

the devil is broke of power, authority etc

but when there is no prayer

all kinds of chaos happen

the flesh is let loose

and things that should never have happened happen

and because of the flesh

the devil is glad at the chaos he causes through

the unbridled emotions of men, women, even children

that’s false power

but it causes losses to the kingdom

souls lost that should be won

incidents, situations, mix-ups that should not happen

but because of the resistance

the ones who pray

Heaven has a chance to do what it really wants

and even though we think the real battle is the angels doing their thing

the real battle is conquering your emotions enough to pray

praying right, praying the word of God ONLY

with right motives and a right heart

cos when you are prayed up

the angels move with speed

Glad to still be part of the resistance

the ones who believe what their eyes can’t see

because what is seen is temporary

Talk about mystery…

I love inspired thought…

I was talking with God through my day. My mobile phone is having issues. I am so pissed, I will take some actions.

Got back to the office after battling with my mobile phone and my charger and USB has taken a walk.

No one steals in my office so if it’s missing, it’s an intentional taking.

I have been here before. I won’t complain, I will go to the market and buy another set and leave God to handle the matter. He knows how to do that better than anyone else.

So what is the mystery?

There are three:

  • The mystery of Christ
  • The mystery of who took my charger
  • The mystery of who hacked my mobile phone and put a virus in it

I give the latter two to God to sort… (will pray about it). The Holy Ghost knows how to handle mischievous people, I have no patience with them. The Holy Ghost has all the patience in the world and all the resources and those resources are available to me too.

For the former, I will read my bible…

via Daily Prompt: Mystery

You have to see differently…

refuse it
This why I believe what I believe.
Some people talk about false prophets and being able to discern false prophets and avoiding being cheated.
Is it possible to do this in flesh and blood?
I know that God is aware and He can’t be cheated. Because He can’t be cheated, I can’t be cheated.
1 Kings 17:8-11
8 Then the word of the Lord came to him:
The word of the LORD came to Elijah. Do whatever you do from conviction and not emotion.
9 “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”
So Elijah went. He didn’t know where he was going or what he was going to eat or how to sustain Himself but the word of the LORD can be trusted.
10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?”
You need unity and agreement. If you don’t have this, you are wasting time
You need the fire, oil, and glory.
To do this, you must deny your emotions.
11 As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”
Many people think Elijah was wicked to the widow. But the widow survived and was provided for, for three years, three years in which good people ate their children because there was a famine.
Money is not as important as doing what the LORD says.
Do you know the woman thought she did not have what the prophet asked for, but she did, what she had was enough.
Hold on to every part of the assignment God has given you. In spite of the intensity of the warfare, you will walk through the fire and the water and it will not harm you or yours because the LORD is with you.
Value your secret place.
Become a burning bush.

He didn’t nominate me…

I am simply assuming he did because I want to write and empty my heart of the things that clog it up, and prevent it from reaching out to God…
